This viral video is being reported by Google Gemini as being from Dubai International Airport in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It can be clearly seen in the video that several 'Emirates' airlines aircraft are parked in the background, and the plane on whose engine the snake is visible also carries the Emirates logo.
This video first surfaced on social media around May 2024, after which it spread rapidly across the internet. However, no such real incident was confirmed by Dubai Airport or Emirates Airline, making it clear that this video was created using an AI tool and uploaded to the internet.
On the other hand, when we asked Grok about this video, it revealed that this matter dates back to November 2016. Aeroméxico Flight 231 was traveling from Torreón to Mexico City.
During the flight, a passenger suddenly noticed the overhead luggage compartment.
A bright green snake was emerging from there.
The snake was crawling near the ceiling and moving forward. Passenger Indalecio Medina was reading a magazine at that time.
The passenger next to him screamed upon seeing the snake.
Medina immediately turned on his mobile camera.
